Things You Need
Get FEMA certifications
Working within a first responder environment requires you to know, understand and follow certain rules.
The National Incident Management System (NIMS) is a standardized framework developed by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to guide all levels of government, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector in managing emergencies and incidents. NIMS provides a unified approach to incident management by standardizing command structures, resource management, and communication protocols. You can take the courses online and there’s no charge. We require certificates for ICS-100, ICS-200 and ICS-700.

How To Prepare
Training In Your Area
A CFR needs to be able to handle a number of medical emergencies like cardiac arrests, choking or bleeding. The proper way to handle these situations require “hands-on” training.
We accept BLS/AED certificate issued by the American Heart Association or the Red Cross. We also requite a “Stop The Bleed” certificate which is offered by a number of instructors in almost any region. Please understand that your CFR certification will be tied to the expiration date of your CPR/AED and “Stop The Bleed” credentials. Contact us if you need assistance.
