TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

1. Course Participation

By enrolling in a Community First Responder training course provided by Pecos Valley Public Services, (hereafter referred to as “the Provider”), you acknowledge that:

  • You are participating voluntarily.
  • You understand that this course is educational and designed to provide general guidance in emergency response and first aid.

2. Certification

  • Successful completion of the course may result in the issuance of a certificate of completion or competency, valid for a limited period as specified.
  • Certification does not guarantee your performance in real-world emergencies, nor does it imply licensure or professional medical qualification.

3. Limitation of Liability

  • The Provider, including its instructors, staff, and affiliated organizations, is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage sustained by participants during or after the training.
  • The Provider is not responsible for outcomes of any medical emergencies where course content was applied by the participant.
  • The Provider shall not be held liable for any misuse, misapplication, or misinterpretation of the skills taught during the course.

4. Health and Safety

  • Participants are responsible for informing instructors of any medical conditions or physical limitations that may affect their ability to perform course activities.
  • The Provider reserves the right to remove or restrict participation if safety or health concerns arise.

5. Course Content

  • Course materials are for educational purposes only and are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind.
  • The Provider reserves the right to update or modify course content at any time without prior notice.

6. Intellectual Property

  • All training materials, videos, manuals, and content provided are the intellectual property of the Provider and may not be copied, distributed, or reproduced without prior written consent.

7. Refund and Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations must be made in writing. Refunds may be issued according to the Provider’s stated refund policy, less any applicable fees.
  • The Provider reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses due to low enrollment, instructor availability, or unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, a full refund or credit will be offered.

8. Code of Conduct

  • All participants are expected to behave respectfully and follow the instructions of course instructors. The Provider reserves the right to remove participants who fail to comply with these standards without refund.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of New Mexico, and any disputes shall be resolved in the applicable courts of jurisdiction.
